The Network is comprised of various local non-profit and charity organizations. Some of the different groups that make up the Blue Ridge Housing Network include local businesses, individuals, human service organization, local banks, lenders and other financial institutions. What is common among all these organizations is that they are concerned about housing issues and foreclosure crisis facing the area, and they want to improve the current stock and help people avoid losing their home to foreclosure.
The agencies focus their services on the cities and towns that are located in the Northern Shenandoah Valley area of Virginia. Foreclosure and housing programs offered by: Blue Ridge Housing Network: The organization offers homeowners, and potential homeowners, a variety of programs and resources.

HOMEownership Down Payment Assistance Program - This is an offering that involves local partnerships with Virginia and federal governmental entities, mortgage lenders, and non-profit housing service providers that operate across the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Government programs - Counselors can refer applicants to various federal government mortgage programs, such as the Homeowner Affordability and Stability Plan Some of the areas of Shenandoah Valley have been hit hard by the foreclosure crisis, in particular the city of Winchester.
