Dane County and Madison free clothes, back to school supplies and furniture. Clothing closets are located across Dane County. Based on the clients applicant and needs, there may be new and/or gently used clothes, back to school supplies. household goods, baby items, furniture for a home and more for Madison as well as other county residents that are in need.

Each center relies on volunteers and some of those individuals work at a center to gain work experience The charities as well as churches that offer these programs collects donations from the public.

Based on what has been received, the Madison County centers will distributes items. What may be provided to qualified low income families includes, but is not limited to, furniture, clothing for work, household goods items, school supplies or uniforms, holiday decorations, free birthday toys and other goods.

All items which are provided in Dane County are only available based on donations. If the agencies below can't help, then find other sources of free items

Community Action Agency Services

The items are available in multiple sizes and clothes are offered for people of all ages. Dresses, suits, briefcases, slacks and other clothes may be given out for free. Other resources range from Christmas to birthday toys, low cost gently used furniture, cribs for kids, and even emergency financial aid.
