Local state and community free car programs
There are local organizations that will help people get a car, truck, van or auto for free. In general, any free car needs to be used to get a job or interview in the local area, attend long term training or allow someone to keep an existing job. The free vehicles available in your state, county or city will not be for recreational purposes but only for employment needs.

The fact is cars, whether new or used, are costly. Therefore, instead of providing a vehicle, from time to time some of the non-profits or dealerships will be able to contribute emergency funds to pay for repairs rather than providing the applicant with a free vehicle. As whether a free car is given, or fixes to one, as long as the end result is the family has a way to get to work then the service will be successful.

Regional car programs that are free
The terms and conditions of each local program in your area will differ. Some auto dealerships also work with low income families to give them a free car or very cheap auto, or provide affordable financing for one. As car dealerships often have non-profit foundations that help low-income families, vets, or single moms or dads with transportation need.
For example, in general a free car must be used for employment purposes, and veterans, single moms and the unemployed who need a free vehicle for a job may get a car or truck. As a goal is to help the family get off of relying on public assistance to help them pay their bills and rather provide them transportation for work.
