A number of free or low cost health services may be provided, including care to women, patients who walk-in, the elderly and low income families on Medicaid.

In general they will provide general checkups, immunizations, and some primary health care services. Some of the free clinic locations may offer prescription medications, diabetes strips or help low-income patients who walk in.
The fees will usually vary based upon the patients income. So if their income is low enough, or they have no health insurance, then the care and medications may be provided to the Ohio patient for free. However some clinics may offer medical care on a so called sliding fee scale, which means people pay some money towards their medical bills.
Their payment will be based on their income. Many clinic offer information as well. Ask them for referrals in order to locate other ways to get help with financial matters, including health care, from your county or other sources.
