Community Services of Orange County will do their best to help the less fortunate in the region. Residents who are facing a housing crisis may qualify for support. This can include funds, grants, and emergency assistance for paying rent .
If your crisis is a potential disconnection of your utilities then money may be offered for electric or water bills . The Housing Resource Center will try to prevent evictions and homelessness in Orange County. The center is located in the city of Newburgh and appointments can be made by calling (845) 561-1665.
Other housing assistance may be available from the center and the organizations who are working towards its success. Agencies that contribute include Orange County Department of Social Services, the Joint Mental Health and Community Agencies of Orange County and of course local churches.
