Community Action Agency Services

The are several dozen agencies in San Diego that administer the Head Start program. Low income children from birth to five years in age can take advantage of the family development, health and dental care, and childhood services that are currently offered by the federal government funded program.

The goal of the program is to foster healthy development in low income, working poor, unemployed and other individuals in the community. The government funded Head Start agencies provide a wide variety of individualized resources to qualified families and their children. The program focuses on the areas of early childhood development, social services, education and even offers free medical and dental health check ups and appointments.
