Programs for Seniors and Elderly
Most of the food pantries in the Summit County region focus on helping the low income, unemployed, working poor, families with children, and seniors, including with Meals on Wheels.
Any type of groceries from the centers and other forms of aid will usually be prioritized for them. However most of the centers will rarely, if ever, turn anyone away from receiving assistance.
Volunteers and other staff are at each food pantry. They are committed to providing free food, groceries, and meals to as many people as possible. If they can’t help you meet you need, they will usually refer you to other locations in Summit County, or help you apply for federal government or state of Ohio assistance programs such as SNAP food stamps or WIC.
