Food Assistance and Food Banks
When faced with a crisis, Yolo families can turn to non-profit food banks and pantries. The centers are often operated by government affiliated agencies, charities, and churches. While they do mostly rely on donations and federal or state of California government funding, the sites do try to help as many people as possible and not turn anyone away.
What may be provided includes fruits, vegetables, canned goods, breads, meats, and baby formula. A pantry and case managers that work there can normally direct clients to government assistance such as CalFresh.
Locations can also usually provide referrals. If and when someone gets back on their feet, please do donate or contribute your time to a Yolo County California pantry.
